Cucurbita pepo-var. oviferis

A colorful mixture of several popular small gourds. These make wonderful fall decorations indoors or outside.

Planting Directions:  Plant in spring when ground has warmed to 70˚, optimum 80 degrees.  In cooler climates start seeds in a greenhouse 6-8 weeks before transplanting.  Gourds require well fertilized, rich, warm soil. To help keep the soil warm, cover with mulch or black plastic before planting seed. Space plants 4 feet between plants.  Keep soil well watered.   May be trellised. Heavier gourds will need some support while growing on a trellis.
