Annual. 18".
- Compact multibranching plants characterize Fernleaf Dill.
- Aromatic and flavorful, this extremely attractive introduction is suitable for small gardens and containers.
- Slow to bolt allowing foliage to be harvested longer. All America Selection.
Planting Directions: Can be sown as early in spring as ground can be worked. Plant seed 1/8-1/4” deep in rows 10” apart. Plant in full sun and well drained slightly acidic soil. Germination takes 14-18 days with soil temperatures of 60°-70° Sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before last frost in individual pots or transplant carefully, as Dill does not transplant well.
Harvest: Gather on a dry day when flowers on plants are fully opened. Place leaf sprays in a moderately warm room on cheese cloth frames or screens for good air circulation. When dry, remove leaves from stems and store in air tight containers. Harvest seed when seed heads turn brownish. Remove seed heads from plant and place upside down in paper bags. Ripen seeds will fall to the bottom of the bag
