Planting Directions: Sow seed indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost. Plant seed on the surface and lightly press down, in sterile starting mix with a soil temperature of 55°-70°. Direct sow outdoors in early spring, when soil is still cool. Transplant outdoors when soil temperatures are 55°-60°, in full sun. Plant in well prepared soil that has been amended with rich compost or a general garden fertilizer. Thin plants to 6”-8” apart. Water a moderate amount regularly. If flowering slows due to hot weather, trim back plants by half to encourage new growth. Trim plants after first bloom to promote a stronger second bloom.
