Chet's Italian Red Garlic SHIPS IN EARLY SEPTEMBER
Artichoke, softneck garlic, Chet's Italian Red was selected from garlic found in an abandoned garden in Tonasket WA by Chet Stevenson in the 1960's. 10 to 20 cloves in 4 clove layers. A good garlic flavor without being too strong. Extreme winter cold makes it hotter, with a more robust flavor. Produces better when soil is dry in the last month before harvest. Does not do well when overly wet in last month before harvest. SHIPPED LATE AUGUST UNTIL SOLD OUT, WHICH IS USUALLY OCTOBER.
